EU donates K2.3 billion to ‘Mora’ victims in Rakhine
The European Union (EU) has donated K2.3 billion (US$1.68 million) to help tens of thousands of victims of tropical cyclone ‘Mora’ in the northern part of Rakhine State, the union said in a statement. The cyclone damaged nearly 50,000 structures in Myanmar, including more than 21,000 houses and shelters for internally displaced people (IDP), and over 26,000 sanitation facilities, it said.
